The shoe in history, in the show business and in contemporary art

The exhibition brings together a selection of footwear, from several important public and private collections which can recount stories and traditions, trends and technological development.
The exhibition is divided into four main sections, devoted respectively to the shoe in history, cinema, Italian fashion and sport. The footwear on display, unique pieces of great historical value and craftsmanship, are associated with important works of contemporary art by Andy Warhol, Arman, Umberto Mastroianni, Daniel Spoerry, and other artists who were invited to work specifically on the subject, such as Franco Rasma, Giorgio Ramella and Kangiro Azuma.
The event is curated by Pietro Weber and Marcello Nebl, in collaboration with director Ruggero Miti and with Mara Davi.
