Corners and edges

The yearly exhibition of the frame at the Museum of Riva del Garda

exhibition

From 4 to 24 February the Alto Garda Museum is pleased to host the yearly photo-essay Angoli e spigoli (Corners and edges), by the association Il Fotogramma of Nago-Torbole.

Photography is in fact part of the MAG’s cultural project: for many years now, the museum has been carrying out  research about historic photography by enriching its archives and proposing exhibition itineraries and publications.

The MAG’s research also focuses on contemporary photographers who are asked to interpret the landscape in all its possible forms and visions. In a process of gradual thematic refinement, twenty-four artists – among which a lot of female artists – have developed their own “account” in an autonomous way.

Besides the exhibition Angoli e spigoli, we suggest visiting the photographic exhibition Riva ebraica (Jewish Riva), which is the result of an art education programme carried out by the association Il Fotogramma  in classes 5A and 5B of the primary school"N. Pernici" of Riva del Garda.

Linked to the photographic essay are two events taking place at the MAG in February: on 9 February at 20.30 film showing  Se mi lasci ti cancello (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind ) (2004), directed by Michel Gondry, with Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet; on 18 Februaty at 14.30 boys and girls aged 6 - 11 years are invited to take part in the workshop Fotogiocando! (Reservations: 0464.573869, info@museoaltogarda.it; max: 15 partecipanti).
